Links to Learn By: Museums Can Be Interactive Too

Interactive media has impacted almost every field and organization imaginable.

Museums are no different.

Here’s a few starting points to learn more about interactive museum exhibits.

Ideum, a company that designs interactive exhibits, has a nice portfolio full of possibilities.

Nina Simon’s cool Museum 2.0 blog is full of great posts, topics and discussion on the evolving museum.

Boston Productions has a museum technology blog that’s packed with in-depth information on all kinds of tech-heavy subjects.

I’ve found these two posts on touch-screen monitors extremely helpful as I navigate my way through creating an interactive exhibit for my Capstone (Thesis) project in my interactive media master’s program.

There’s one on types of touch-screen technologies for museum kiosks and one on using Adobe AIR and Flash for touch-screen application development.
